Our thoughts create the way we feel which dictates our actions. Examining your thoughts that lead to eating foods that aren't serving you, will open the gates for change.

Odds are, every time you've tried a diet you focused on changing your actions by putting your meals in little boxes for portion control, removing certain food groups, counting calories, or some other form of restriction.

I understand the sentiment. However, if the thoughts behind this are:

"I'm doing this so that I can control myself around food."

Then you believe you aren't in control of yourself and you also believe that junk food is the forbidden fruit.

What do you want more than something you can't have? Nothing. You want it even more because you believe you must resist it.

It's a battle.

Humans are always moving away from pain or towards pleasure. Therefore, if you continually believe that junk food is more pleasurable than healthy glowing skin & hair, and being free, you will choose the junk food.

The key is to become crystal clear on who you want to become so that the benefits of eating well outweigh the "benefits" of junk food.
