The gurus want you to believe that all you need to do is visualize yourself succeeding and *poof* your dreams manifest before your very eyes! As if, right?

Well my lovely, they aren't wrong. Manifestation does work. Maybe not an actual *poof*, but it works.

In fact, you've manifested the life & body you have right now! You just didn't realize you were manifesting.

Let's break down exactly what manifestation is & how you can do it PURPOSEFULLY.

YOU KNOW THIS PERSON

Who is that person in your life is that ALWAYS talking about their "limitations"?

"I have adult A.D.D.! It's harder for me to focus."

"I'm a perfectionist so I don't start something until I know I can succeed at it."

"I'm so busy! I wish I had the time but I don't."

"I have a slow metabolism. It's harder for me to lose weight."

THEY ARE RIGHT

They are right. They don't focus. They don't start things. They are indeed too busy. And their metabolism IS slow.

Not because they have actual limitations but because they believe that they do.

In turn, their thoughts, feelings, and actions align with the "limitation" they are always yapping about.

CONSTANTLY REAFFIRMING LIMITATIONS

Every time you quit a project, *poof* - "I have adult A.D.D.! It's harder for me to focus."

Belief confirmed & manifested.

Every time you feel pain for not starting something that you keep saying you want to do, *poof* - "I'm a perfectionist so I don't start something until I know I can succeed at it."

Belief confirmed & manifested.

Every time you think about wanting to do something for yourself but don't, *poof* it is because "I'm so busy! I wish I had the time but I don't."

Belief confirmed & manifested.

Every time you don't lose 5 pounds your first week on a diet, *poof* it is because "I have a slow metabolism. It's harder for me to lose weight."

Belief confirmed & manifested.

WHERE DOES NEGATIVE MANIFESTATION COME FROM?

If you grew up being told you have a "limitation" like Attention Deficit Disorder and that "it's harder for you," your mind will look for ways to prove that right.

What's worse, you probably had a teacher who treated you differently. Your parents may have even medicated you which could have lead to a whole other can of addiction worms, but that is for another day.

You spend your entire life believing you are different. You have a disability. It becomes who you identify as.

When that's the case, your less likely to try to change the habit or come up with solutions because you believe it's a fixed limitation.

It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

What's worse, your brain will also ignore all of the times that it isn't harder for you. You won't acknowledge all of the times that you did indeed focus very well. If you did acknowledge it, your ego would view it as an attack on your identity.

But here is the truth, A.D.D. is not a disorder. It is a difference in cognition. What's more, people with A.D.D. were viewed as the biggest assets to tribes because they were [and are] superior hunters.

How would a person with A.D.D. change their life if they chose to accept their "limitation" as an actual killer asset?

WHATEVER THE BELIEF, YOUR BRAIN WILL LOOK TO PROVE IT RIGHT

So I guess the question is, "What are you telling your brain to look for?" Here are a few thoughts that flip the script on the negative manifestations I noted above.
